Composites are composed of fiber reinforcements (eg glass, carbon, kevlar) and a resin matrix that bonds the fibers.
When these elements are combined, the result is an outstandingly strong, light and incredibly durable finished product - even in the harshest of environments (eg salt, chemicals, UV, fatigue). In virtually any shape.
This is why we refer to the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
