General Director of Triac Composites, Paul Koch, said that Triac Composites was delighted to have secured the "magnificent premises" after a two year search.

"Our previous location served us beautifully when we were just building Rapido Trimarans", explained Mr Koch.

"However, now that we have significantly expanded our product offering, we need three times the floor space - as well as direct access to a river.

"UniDepot's totally refurbished warehouse gives us the option of building finished composite products that can be loaded directly onto a barge and shipped to the nearest shipping terminal".

In addition to the Rapido Trimarans, Triac Composites is building pleasure and commercial vessels such as catamarans, ski sleds and fishing trawlers for international markets. Some of the boats are for one-off customers while others are for international manufacturers wishing to outsource production.

Triac Composites also views Vietnam, ASEAN and Greater Asia as "very interesting markets" and recently announced that it will launch a new river boat for Vietnam.

In addition to the marine sector, Triac Composites has actively moved into other sectors - particularly in the construction industry (eg building facades and green buildings). The mining industry also beckons for Triac Composites...

Each of the founders of Triac Composites has more than 30 years' experience in the composites industry - in Australia, USA and, for the last 12, Vietnam.

Mr Koch added that the lease with UniDepot will commence in late December 2018 and that he looks forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with UniDepot.

"Today's signing ceremony", said Mr Koch, "is a very tangible expression of Triac Composites' confidence in Vietnam, our Vietnamese workforce, our current and potential customers - and our gracious landlord, Unidepot, which is constructing world class buildings under Mr Minh’s leadership.

Mr Koch also thanked Savills Vietnam for the important role they played in cementing the agreement.
