Last week marked a major milestone for Triac Composites.
For the first time, Triac, the builder behind the stunning Rapido Trimarans range exhibited under its own name, stepping onto the international stage with a presence on two continents simultaneously:
METSTRADE 2025 – 18-20 November, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Vietnam International Marine and Offshore Expo (VIMOX) 2025 – 19-21 November, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
This dual participation highlights our growing global reach, technical excellence, and versatility in composite manufacturing.

METSTRADE 2025 – Foiling Technology Zone

At METSTRADE, Triac showcased its expertise in prepreg carbon asymmetric C-foils, T-foil rudders, centre daggerboards, masts, beams, struts, bowsprits, bulkheads, and more.
But this year, it was the electric foiling sector that showed particularly strong interest.
Electric Foiling Expertise
Years of experience building high-performance, lightweight Rapido trimarans have given Triac a unique edge in hydrodynamic efficiency and weight optimisation.
For electric foiling vessels, this expertise translates into:
Higher speeds
Longer battery life
Greater operational range
Triac held multiple meetings with interested companies exploring electric foiling CTVs, pilot boats, and tourist/passenger ferry boats, demonstrating our ability to deliver both complex foils and high-performance hulls.
VIMOX (Vietnam Marine and Offshore Expo) 2025 – Power Catamarans
At VIMOX, Triac presented its Rapido Catamarans, available in 40-foot and 50-foot versions, configurable for:
Commercial use (CTVs, pilot boats, passenger ferries)
Private and leisure use
Law enforcement, defence, and fisheries
Propulsion options include electric, inboard, and outboard diesel or gasoline systems.
Foils on Display

An actual Rapido 40 T-foil rudder took centre stage in the Triac booth at VIMOX and it drew strong interest. There was also a 3.6-metre prepreg carbon asymmetric C-foil poster.
Visitors were impressed to learn that all high-tech parts were fully manufactured in-house at Triac’s Vietnam facility.
The asymmetric foil, shaped like an aircraft wing, generates lift by accelerating water flow over one surface faster than the other, reducing wetted surface area and boosting efficiency — a capability that resonated strongly with attendees.
Triac’s Manufacturing Capability
Triac’s fully integrated in-house setup enables exceptional versatility across marine and industrial applications. Our facilities include:
7-axis KUKA milling robot on a 23-metre track
8.5-metre autoclave for large composite structures
CNC machining and full tooling production
Advanced vacuum infusion and prepreg carbon fabrication
This end-to-end capability allows us to tackle virtually any requirement; from high-performance marine vessels to industrial composites such as factory acoustic walls.
An International Presence
Triac is internationally owned and headquartered in HCMC, Vietnam, serving clients globally, from South East and North East Asia to Europe, the US, and Australia.
Our projects span:
Power catamarans for private, commercial, and defence use
Complex foiling components for sail and electric-powered vessels
Industrial composites for non-marine applications
At both exhibitions, survey vessels, crew transport platforms, and specialised commercial (eg maritime fire fighting cats) and defence applications drew significant interest, highlighting the breadth of opportunity for our expertise.
A Resounding Success
Triac Composites’ debut as an independent exhibitor in November 2025 was a clear success.
From VIMOX in Ho Chi Minh City to METSTRADE in Amsterdam, the response confirmed that our combination of innovation, in-house manufacturing, and technical excellence sets us apart.
We look forward to pushing the boundaries of composites, delivering high-performance marine, electric, and industrial solutions, and helping our customers achieve new levels of efficiency and capability.
