On 24 June, 2019, Triac Composites shipped 71 carbon fiber ventilation tubes to Canada.
The tubes will be shipped to an underground mine where they will be used to supply fresh air to the miners.

The main advantages of carbon fiber tubes are that they are very light and very strong. This results in:
Improved safety for workers lifting the tubes above their heads
Reduces the likelihood of damage to the tubes and
The stiffness of the tubes allows the use of bigger fans to pump fresh air over longer distances; ie the carbon fiber tubes won't collapse with the increased pressure.
