Ineffable, a Rapido 60 trimaran, has just won her very first trophy, the Round Barbados 2019, reports Steve Bourne, her very proud owner.
Below are several photos of Ineffable on the first leg of the Round Barbados Race "where we hit 25 knots on a beam reach with the main hull just kissing the water. What a blast!!!"
Steve adds:
"Wonderful conditions and the most delightful competitors together with a helpful race committee, make this just a fabulous race!
"Our practice lap the day before helped and we knocked 40 minutes off our time to beat the record holder silver bullet by a mere 6 seconds.
"Next year we will use the kite as this was Ineffable's first race...
"We shall return as Barbados has the best sailing community we have seen so far... Everyone is both skilled and so friendly!!!"
The Race was run on 21 January 2019 - and the prize? Your Skipper's weight in Mount Gay Extra Old Rum.
