4 December 2025 was a standout day for Rapido Trimarans — and for Triac Composites. Triac is the company that builds every Rapido trimaran, transforming Morrelli & Melvin’s world-class designs into high-performance multihulls.
Two major achievements on the same day showcased the strength, quality and capability of Triac’s composite construction.
Picomole Wins ARC 2025 — Built by Triac Composites
The Rapido 53XS Picomole, built by Triac Composites, claimed Line Honours in the Multihull Division of the 2025 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC).
Crossing the Atlantic in just 10 days and 18 hours, Picomole once again proved the durability and performance of the Rapido platform. With more than 30,000 nautical miles sailed since her launch in April of last year, the boat continues to demonstrate:
Structural integrity and long-distance reliability
Consistency under offshore loads and motion
The build quality expected from a Morrelli & Melvin design executed by Triac
While the design deserves credit for its performance pedigree, Picomole’s flawless execution at sea highlights the craftsmanship, attention to detail and composite expertise of Triac’s build team.
Launch of the Rapido 40 Racer — Built by Triac
On the same day, Rapido launched the new Rapido 40 Racer — also built by Triac Composites.

This ultra-light, high-performance model represents the next evolution of the Rapido range, The 40 Racer features:
Lightweight, high-strength carbon composite construction (at 4,500kgs, the Racer is 1,000kgs lighter than the performance cruising Rapido 40)
Precision assembly across three hulls and cross-beam structures
Meticulous attention to tolerances, alignment and fit
Full racing configuration, including a 19.5m mast which is 2.3m longer than the rig for the cruising model.
The Rapido 40 Racer demonstrates Triac’s ability to deliver complex, performance-oriented multihulls with accuracy and repeatability.
Turning World-Class Designs Into Ocean-Proven Reality
These two achievements — an ARC victory and the launch of a new racing trimaran — underline Triac Composites’ core capability:
We take the designs conceived by global leaders such as Morrelli & Melvin and build them to a standard that performs — and wins — on the world stage.
Triac’s strengths include:
Capability to produce all composite tooling in-house, with exceptional accuracy enabled by our 7-axis KUKA milling robot operating on a 23-metre track
Advanced composite manufacturing
Prepreg carbon and autoclave operations
Large, precision-built multihull structures
Quality control from lamination through to final fit-out
A dedicated team experienced in offshore-capable structures

As Rapido’s exclusive builder, Triac is proud to see its craftsmanship showcased through milestones like Picomole’s ARC triumph and the debut of the Rapido 40 Racer.
